Catch Fire Day 6

Catch Fire Day 6                      1 Corinthians 15:1-26

Resurrection is clear evidence that God reigns over our lives. God reigns over not only when we are alive but also when we are dead. God’s reign is beyond our biological life! God can create things from nothing. The same God make the dry bones into a strong army of God’s Kingdom (Ezekiel 37). This same God has raised Jesus from death.

When we have faith in resurrection of Jesus, therefore, we also have faith in God’s reign. God is in control when things seem chaotic. When we are in turmoil in our lives, we know that God is in control and there is nothing that we have to worry about. That is the meaning of seeking the Kingdomof Godfirst. Jesus said, “Seek the Kingdomof Godand his righteousness, then all these things will be given to you as well (Matthew 6:33). We are not the slaves of Sin and Death any more! We are the children of God, who has conquered the death itself. As Paul said, “Death has been swallowed up in victory. Where, O Death, is your victory? Where, O Death, is your sting?”(1 Corinthians 15:54-55)

Now, my brothers and sisters, I agree with Paul when he said, “Therefore, stand firm.

Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you

know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.”(1 Corinthians 15:58)
