Catch Fire Day 30 “Accepting our sins” Acts 7:1-53
I met a boy. He used drug and wasted his life for a few years. I asked him, “Why did you use drug?” He said, “Well, a well known person said that he also used drug when he was young. So, I wanted to know what it was like to feel the drug in my brain.”
Sometimes, our mistakes can be told in a misleading way. Our success can wrap our mistakes as if they were necessary steps to our growth. We should rather say that “in spite of our mistakes and sins” God turn around them and used them for the benefit of all. Listen to the faith statement that Joseph made: “Don’t be afraid. Am I in the place of God? You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives” (Genesis 50:19-20). Joseph pointed out the fact that the brothers intended to harm him. We cannot compromise the fact. Still God is the one who made things working for all.
When we rehearse our history or stories, we have to acknowledge what we have done. When we honestly confess our sins, we can see how great God’s love is! May God be glorified by our confession and prayer for our sins!
