Psalm 125

Psalm 125

We do not have to do evil things!

God has given us free will. God wants us to make choices in life. Whatever happens, bad things are not God’s will for us. God wants us to have abundant life. However, bad things happen because of human choices. Even though God is in control, God has to pay the price once God gave humans free will. God keeps convincing us to do the right things by giving us rewards. It is not always easy for us to make the good choice but we do not have to evil things! God will be with us and protect us when we decide to follow God.

“Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abides forever. As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds his people, from this time on and forevermore. For the scepter of wickedness shall not rest on the land allotted to the righteous, so that the righteous might not stretch out their hands to do wrong.”

Things will find their ways endorsed by God!

Whatever happens, things will come back to their natural order. The nature has its God-given ability to restore its order as God planned. Good behaviors will be rewarded and wicked actions will not have lasting impact on the world. This confidence is the basic faith of the psalmist and belivers!

“Do good, O Lord, to those who are good, and to those who are upright in their hearts. But those who turn aside to their own crooked ways the Lord will lead away with evildoers. Peace be upon Israel!”
